Celebrating Communities Partnerships

The “Celebrating Communities” program offers partners benefits that range from discounted and/or free admission to a tailored menu including Family Days, program scholarships, participating in Museum exhibitions, subsidized bus transportation, use of Museum facilities or Museum attendance at community events. School and Group Programs 

Through guided and self-guided tours for students and their teachers, the Bay Area Discovery Museum offers learning opportunities that are linked to the California State Curriculum Frameworks. Self-guided tours are offered year-round, Tuesdays through Fridays. Click here for more info.

Guest Scientists

The Romberg Tiburon Center for the Environmental Studies of San Francisco State University and the Bay Area Discovery Museum team up to present local scientists who work to better understand plants, animals and natural habitats of the Bay Area. Scientists answer questions, speak about their field of expertise and present hands-on specimens. The National Science Foundation funds the Guest Scientist series.
