Annual Museum Events

World On Stage
Enjoy an exciting repertoire of performances celebrating the rich artistic diversity of our local and global communities. (January – February)  

Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration
Honor the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with special performances, art projects and a reading room. (January)

Chinese New Year Celebration
Special performances by the spectacular lion dancers of the Marin Chinese Cultural Group help ring in the Chinese New Year. (February)

Month of the Young Child Celebration
The Museum teams up with early childhood service organizations to honor and celebrate young children and the important people in their lives. (April)

Earth Day
Celebrate the earth and renew our commitment to building a safer, healthier and cleaner world for all of us with a variety of special activities which will connect your family to the wonders of our natural world. (April)

Asian Pacific Heritage Festival
Visitors are treated to a fantastic program of art and entertainment including origami crafts, Chinese lion dancing, and a variety of Asian folk dances and traditional music. (May)

Discovery Camps
Children ages 4 to 9 celebrate the joy of guided exploration and open-ended play through weekly camps including visual and performing arts, building, natural history, science, crafts and more. (Spring Break & Summer)

Goblin Jamboree
The entire Museum is transformed into a Halloween wonderland with ghostly decorations,  spooky - but not scary - attractions and haunting live entertainment. (October)

Hip Kids Music Series
Rock out to some kids music with adult appeal during this annual series of interactive performances by the hippest bands around.  (October - November)

Gingerbread Architecture Extravaganza
Children and families create delightful gingerbread houses festooned with candy canes, marshmallows, gumdrops, frosting and treats. (December)

Kwanzaa Celebration
A free community event celebrating the African-American festival that honors family and community. (December)
